The King Center and JPMorgan Chase & Co. Team up for MLK

The King Center and JPMorgan Chase & Co. have partnered up on a project to digitize over a million Martin Luther King, Jr. documents that will be accessed worldwide.  The collection will include a bevy of documents about King and the Civil Rights Movement. including sermons, handwritten notes, correspondence, minutes of meetings, telegraphs, and some audio. They hope to make at least 200,000 documents available by January 2012.

"We believe that by making Dr. King's papers publicly available that we're bringing his teachings and philosophies to current and future generations," said Ali Marano, head of the Technology for Social Good program at JPMorgan Chase. "It makes the world a better place, in our minds."
